xAgricultural Energy Management Plan (124) - Option 1 - CertificationAgricultural Energy Management Plan Development: Develop an AgEMP (124) for the Landscape that meets the criteria listed in Section III of the FOTG and submit the plan by email, or send a paper copy by mail to the resident State TSP Coordinator.
FOTG Knowledge: Knowledge of the NRCS electronic Field Office Technical Guide as related to the specific criteria to be addressed in the development and implementation of the Land Treatment Plan.
Land Treatment: Certification with at least one of the following: 1) CCA- Certified Crop Advisor certification from the American Society of Agronomy (ASA), 2) CPAg- Certified Professional Agronomist certification from the American Society of Agronomy (ASA), 3) CPCSc- Certified Professional Crop Scientist certification from the American Society of Agronomy (ASA), 4) Certified Professional Crop Consultant Certification through the National Alliance of Independent Crop Consultants (NAICC), 5) Certified Range Management Consultant by Society for Range Management (SRM), 6) Certified Grassland Professional by the American Forage and Grassland Council (AFGC), 7) be a full-member and certified with Consulting Foresters of America, Incorporated (ACF), or 8) Certified Forester by the Society of American Foresters (SAF).

Tools Experience: Proficient in the use of applicable erosion prediction and water management assessment tools (RUSLE2 and/or WEQ, WEPS)
Training: Conservation Planning Training (available in Aglearn): 1. Complete modules 1 through 5 of NRCS Conservation Planning course. 2. Air Quality, Climate Change and Energy

Knowledge of Crop and Grazing Production: Possess and demonstrates the following knowledge, skills and abilities: a) Awareness of the specific program rules and regulations for conservation programs used to carry out conservation treatment, b) Ability to plan and implement conservation practices common to the geographic area, c) the understanding to the crops and grazing produced and their production in the service area, d) knowledge of managing soil water impacting crops and grazing production in the service area, e) knowledge of forest management in the service area.
